Edsa Bus Bombing, an Affront to Filipino Families

Living in a quiet, peaceful and secured place is what most Filipino families are aspiring for. But, how can these aspirations come into reality when the Filipinos, instead of enjoying their lives with their families, are robbed of this simple pleasure and are faced with the grim reality of life such as what recently happened along EDSA Buendia on January 25, 2011.
The bombing incident perpetrated against a bus and that killed five innocent civilians and wounded several others is a clear affront to our society and should be condemned in the strongest possible terms. Such attacks are clearly carried out by elements who have no regard for human life and are only out to wreak havoc to our country. We, therefore, call on all concerned agencies to do everything in their power to find, expose and bring the perpetrators who committed this crime to court. Moreover, we call on all Filipino families to unite and fight against this inhumane attacks that kill innocent people.
More than issuing a statement of support for the families of those who were killed and wounded in the blast, 1 Ang Pamilya views that the capture of the perpetrators will better serve as a remedy for the grieving families as this will prove that justice in the country is not elusive. It is therefore expedient for the government never to give comfort to terrorism or any terrorism act from any anti-government groups, whether they carry it out against civilians or military forces and establishments, as these clearly threatens our society and all Filipino families.
